London Choral Sinfonia | Britten, St Nicolas

The London Choral Sinfonia presents a concert of uplifting festive music featuring a world premiere by the LCS Composer-in-Residence, Oliver Rudland. Join some of London’s finest young musicians for fresh interpretations of Christmas classics. Featuring specially-commissioned works by Max Pappenheim and Oliver Rudland. The second half features Benjamin Britten’s epic Christmas cantata St. Nicolas. Britten wrote the cantata in 1948 for the centennial celebrations of Lancing College which showcases a colourful and exciting orchestration.
